About the This Is Fine meme
This Is Fine is a panel from “On Fire”, a 2013 strip in KC Green's webcomic Gunshow. A dog in a bowler hat sits at a table with a cup of coffee while the room burns around him, insisting “This is fine.” The two-panel excerpt spread on Reddit and Twitter in 2014 and became the universal image for denial in the face of obvious disaster.
Most versions keep the original line and change the context in the top caption, or replace the bottom line with a more specific reassurance. It works best when the fire is a situation everyone recognises as unmanageable and the caption is calm to the point of delusion.
