About the Disaster Girl meme
Disaster Girl is a photograph of four-year-old Zoë Roth taken by her father in January 2005 in Mebane, North Carolina, as the local fire department burned down a house for a training exercise. Her knowing smirk in front of the flames won a photo contest in 2007 and was being captioned online within a year; in 2021 the original file was sold as an NFT.
