About the Stonks meme
Stonks is Meme Man, the bald 3D head of surreal internet humour, standing in a suit in front of a rising stock chart under the deliberately misspelt word “STONKS”. The image surfaced in 2017 through surreal meme pages on Facebook and became a mainstream joke about bad financial decisions, especially during the retail-trading craze of 2020–2021.
Captions describe a decision that the person thinks is a financial masterstroke and everyone else can see is not: buying something to save money, starting a side hustle that costs more than it earns. “Stonks” is already on the image, so the caption is the setup only. Its sad twin, “Not Stonks”, flips the chart downwards.

Stonks questions
Do I need to write “Stonks” myself?
No — it's part of the image. Write only the decision; the bottom line can stay empty.
Is “Stonks” a typo?
On purpose. Meme Man formats use misspellings (Stonks, Panik, Kalm) as part of the joke.
