About the Tuxedo Winnie the Pooh meme

Tuxedo Winnie the Pooh puts two versions of Disney's Pooh side by side with captions to their left: on top, ordinary Pooh with a neutral face; below, Pooh in a tuxedo and bow tie, looking smug and distinguished. The format took off around 2018–2019 as a way to show the same thing described two ways.

Unlike Drake, where one option is rejected, both lines here mean the same thing — the bottom one is just fancier. That's the whole joke: “Nap” versus “Horizontal life pause”, “Leftovers” versus “Chef's tasting menu, day two”. The more pompous, technical or euphemistic the bottom line, the better.

Tuxedo Winnie the Pooh questions

How is this different from Drake?

Drake rejects one thing in favour of another. Tuxedo Pooh describes one thing twice, plainly and then fancily — neither option is rejected.

Where does the text go?

In the white space to the right of each Pooh, in black text, so both lines can be a full phrase.
