About the Epic Handshake meme
Epic Handshake comes from Predator (1987): when Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Dillon (Carl Weathers) meet, they skip the handshake and lock forearms in a flexing arm-wrestle grip. The template is a painted version of that close-up — a white sleeve on the left, a red sleeve on the right, two arms clasped in the middle — which became one of the most popular labelling templates in 2018.
It shows two unlikely groups united by one thing. Each arm gets a label for one side, and the clasped hands get the thing they agree on. The bigger the gap between the two groups, the funnier the shared ground: cats and toddlers, junior and senior developers, Tolkien fans and spreadsheet nerds.

Epic Handshake questions
Which label goes where?
The two sides go on the two forearms; the thing they share goes above the clasped hands. Labels on the arms follow the slant of each arm.
Is it from the film itself?
The pose is from Predator (1987); the template image most people use is a painted fan version of that shot.
